Although we didn't have much to do with them once we had set up the tennancy, they were always helpful and easily contactable, with an office at the top of whiteladies. The agent showing us around wasn't particularly enthusiastic or knowledgeable about the property (as they have often never been inside the property before) but we sorted out all issues etc with the landlord directly anyway. A lot of these agents merely set up the tennancy and then leave you to deal with the landlord directly for anything else. Thus it is often more important to have a decent trustworthy landlord than tennant, in my opinion. That being the case, i'd be tempted to get the landlords number when viewing a property (if they'll let you) so you can have a chat and sound him/her out.
