Bradford is one of cheapest areas in the UK for students to live which makes budgeting easier than most Universities. Bradford is in a prime location with easy access to the larger cities of Leeds and Manchester.
Sport at University of Bradford is actively encouraged and with over 30 different sports to chose from you have the choice to participate in your favourite sports or try something new.
BUSA (Bradford University Sports Association) compete in the BUCS (British University College Sport) so students can get involved competitively or just for fun! If sport is not your thing there are endless opportunities to join a society or engage in Volunteering around Bradford.
There are a diverse range of club and bars located at Student Central including the “Escape Bar” which has a capacity of 100 and has a variety of student theme nights throughout the year. Then there is the “Amp Bar” which is used by day as a bar and as a club in the evenings. Obviously, for those that prefer a quieter scene there are a number of other venues located on the basement level of the student central. There are loads of club and bars outside of the University which are within easy reach of the main campus. Lister Park and Cartwright Hall are venues worth a visit.
The two shopping areas in Bradford are the Forster Square Retail Park which has a variety of shops including clothes, food and sports equipment with The Kirkgate Centre and all its unusal one off type shops. Various stores and boutiques are situated in a number of key central city streets.
