Living in Staffordshire:
The University’s student union offers a fantastic mix of facilities with two bars at both the Stafford campus and Stoke-on-Trent campus. Both the campuses hold a number of specialist event nights. The bars at Stafford campus are Legends and Lounge whilst at Stoke the two venues are called Leek Road Venue and Ember Lounge. Of course, there is also a great selection of social venues outside of the university life with a number of well-known bars, including Wetherspoons and clubs such as Liquid, Revolutions and Flares. It must be noted however that students at the university tend to mix their nightlife in the surrounding areas of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Hanley and Stafford.
There are a number of shopping locations and attractions across Stafford and Staffordshire for you to enjoy. Guildhall shopping centre is positioned in the heart of Stafford; the centre itself has a range of retail stores complemented by both High Street names and independent stores.
There are a number of excellent areas to explore in Staffordshire, one of which is the Newcastle-Under-Lyme town centre, w a market town specialising in some spectacular small specialist shops that are well worth exploring.
