There are great transport links in Loughborough for students to travel around. From Loughborough town Centre the university is approximately a ten minute trip. You can take a taxi or there is a bus that travels from the town centre directly to the University which costs £1.50 in comparison to a £7.00 taxi fare.

Parking can be difficult due to the limitations of spaces. At the university students can obtain parking permits however if you are a first year undergraduate you are not eligible for one. Within the center of Loughborough there are also a number of clubs and bars for students to enjoy outside of the university. Students tend to gravitate towards Echoes, Wild and Varsity clubs in the City Centre. There are a range of shops and markets located in Loughborough for an excellent shopping experience. There is a range of shopping centres in the City Centre known as the Market place; these include Carillon Shopping Centre, Regent Place Retail Park, The Rushes and The Church Gate Mews, which offer a variety of shops both high street and independent. Uniquely, there are also a range of markets held on various days. Loughborough market is located in Market Place in the heart of Loughborough with the Bric-A-Brac market being held every Friday. Lastly, the farmers market runs on Wednesday every two weeks.
