Keele is located between Birmingham and Manchester and therefore is in prime location for two Airports which have an array of international destinations. The University itself is located just west of Newcastle-under-Lyme and therefore regular buses allow for transport to the town centre and to the campus itself. Furthermore the buses also travel through to Stoke-On Trent where the closest train station to the campus is, around a 20 minute journey in a taxi (around 5 miles).

There is currently no residential parking scheme implemented in Staffordshire.
Living in Staffordshire:
The majority of students tend to socialise at the union however it must be noted that students at the university tend to mix their nightlife into the surrounding areas of Newcastle-under-Lyme & Hanley also.
There are a great selection of social venues outside of the university life with a number of well-known bars including Weatherspoons and clubs such as Liquid, Revolutions and Flares.
There are an exceptional amount of shopping locations and attractions within Stoke On Trent & Staffordshire for you to enjoy. The Potteries Shopping Centre in Hanley has a range of retails stores and also a market.
However there are a number of excellent areas to explore in Staffordshire and these include the Newcastle-Under-Lyme town centre, which is a market town specialising in some spectacular small specialist shops that are worth exploring. Keele is also located to close to Trentham Estates with lots of individual specialist shops, walks and Monkey Forest and of course Alton Towers.
